Caher River Valley, North Clare

About This Project

This painting comes from the quiet upper reaches of the Caher valley, near Fanore. The little river emerges from underground streams further up the valley, eventually cutting through Ice Age gravels and clays to reach the sea at Fanore (Fáinne Ór, the Ring of Gold) beach.
